Improve Blood Microcirculation - Raynaud's Phenomenon

The blood which is kept in continuous motion within the cardiovascular system, flows in a closed circuit from the heart to arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules (small veins), veins, and then back to the heart. The so-called microcirculation includes the smallest blood vessels in the circuit, in particular the capillaries, are comparable with, and often somewhat smaller than the red blood cells. The microcirculation can be considered a "keystone of life" for the delivery and exit of the substances involved in the metabolism of every cell of the tissues. In normal physiological conditions, the optimal regulation of this process is accomplished through the control of the state of tension of the smooth muscle cells present in the vascular wall, which ultimately determines the maintenance of three different homeostatic processes, namely the maintenance of fluid balance, the delivery of blood to each microscopic domain of the tissues, and the maintenance of the systemic blood pressure.
When the body doesn't send enough blood to the hands and feet this means a problem with blood flow. For the first time in the mid-1800s this condition of impaired blood circulation and microcirculation was described by a French doctor Maurice Raynaud - the name of Raynaud's phenomenon - a circulatory disorder in which the blood supply to the hands and feet is reduced.
There are two types of Raynaud's phenomenon:

  • Primary Raynaud's, also known as Raynaud's disease is the most common form occurring on its own.
  • Secondary Raynaud's, also called Raynaud's syndrome is as part of another disease. (i.e. rheumatoid arthritis)

Raynaud's phenomenon is more common in women than men and affects 3-5% of the population.

Primary Raynaud's phenomenon is characterized by episodes of constriction of very small arteries in the fingers and skin usually in response to cold temperature or stress. Cold weather triggers a spasm in these blood vessels, thus depriving these areas from oxygen. The skin changes colors, fingers or toes turn blue or white and go numb. This condition can be easily managed at home by rubbing or warming the extremities (hands and feet), and minor lifestyle changes.
Lifestyle changes can help us avoid things that may trigger a Raynaud's attack. Examples of such triggers include cold temperatures, emotional stress, workplace or recreational factors, and contact with certain chemicals or medicines.

Secondary Raynaud's may be harder to manage. In some cases, the circulation may be impaired enough to cause sores or ulcers to form; in a small minority, these may progress to gangrene and amputation. (See more at medical literature)

Primary Raynaud's may be uncomfortable or annoying but a simple and effective way to manage it is wearing Far Infrared Gloves, a non-drugs therapy that helps you to improve blood microcirculation, metabolism by their effect of heat storing and warm keeping.

How can Far Infrared be so effective?

Far infrared light rays are part of the electromagnetic spectrum of light. These rays, invisible to the eye, with specific wavelength between 8-15 microns are easily absorbed by the body's cells; this is the normal absorption of resonant frequency for human body.
The human body can absorb Far Infrared Rays because their deep penetrating ability, process known as "resonance absorption".
A few benefits of Far Infrared Gloves for blood microcirculation and implicit Raynaud's phenomenon are:

  • Increasing blood microcirculation in the hands
  • Faster blood flow
  • Rejuvenating blood vessels, capillaries, and nerves
  • Softer skin and stronger nails
  • Less pain and stiffness in the fingers joints
  • Warming the hands
